What is SCP?

As you probably have guessed, The SCP Foundation is not a real organization. It’s fictional. Throughout this interactive essay, I will present a rundown of what the SCP wiki website is, who is behind it, what it’s used for, how it functions, and how you too can interact with the site.
The essay will feature YouTube content from some influential persons on the SCP website. While these YouTube videos may not appear on the site itself, due to the site’s general intent to uphold the facade that the SCP Wiki is indeed a database belonging to a scientific, pseudo-governmental shadow organization, they should still be thought of as an extension of the SCP Wiki’s content base.
